And darling, now's the perfect time
Let's slit our wrists and say we're fine
A shadow fading in the night
Strikes fine line between wrong and right
At mercy's best? You've told your tales
Your cheap deception often fails
The midnight struck upon the floor
You forgot what was "us" before
And now I lay here in the still
The night that succumbed to your will
as I; A lost and fading dove
Without the slightest taste of love
You shook me, dear, like songs of old
The ancient stories to me told
Of lovers' hearts ripped from their chest
Without respite, nor sleepless rest
As soulless demons shake our beds
Enter our minds, implore our heads
Without a time and place to hide
Our deepest fears we can't confide
What is this entity that breaks
our hearts? This lost desire takes
our souls. 'Til nothing's left to live
For love takes more than it can give.
Not sure what to say about this one.
